Why Egypt1001?

One Thousand and One Nights is a collection of stories collected over many centuries by various authors, translators and scholars in various countries across the Arab World. These collections of tales trace their roots back to ancient and medieval Arabic, Indinan, Persian, Egyptian and Mesopotamian literature. The oldest Arabic manuscript dates from the 14th century, scholarship generally dates the collection’s genesis to around the 9th century.

What is common throughout all the editions of The Nights is the initial story of the ruler Sharyar  and his wife Scheherazade and the framing device incorporated throughout the tales themselves. The stories proceed from this original tale; some are framed within other tales, while others begin and end of their own accord.

From this symbolic story, I arrived at choosing the number 1001, as a platform to invite all Egypt lover’s to propose 1001 ideas for improving Egypt, as well as a detailed plan, named Egypt 1001.  It is worth mentioning that I am not anti-government or anti-anyone.  However, this is a sincere and dedicated attempt of trying to propose change to 1001 things or maybe more!!!
